cisco 3750-48-PS

I have encounter a weird issues for the switches model WS-C3750-48PS-S could not power-on AP model AIR-LAP1131AG-C-K9. But for this switches it could see other AIR-LAP1131AG-C-K9 is provided power. luckily only 4 of this AIR-LAP1131AG-C-K9 model is having issues.

Below the output with switches version model and power consumption.

Could either be one of two things: 

  1. Cable fault; or
  2. The AP is booting into ROMmon. 

Unfortunately, "plain" 3750 (non-GigabitEthernet ports) do not support TDR so it's not possible to perform an "in line" cable test from the switch. The only option is to take down the AP and plug it directly to the port of the switch to be able to troubleshoot either a cable issue or to determine whether or not the AP has boot into ROMmon.

I was referring to this old forum below. Seem like no end to finding a solution. I have a test using cisco model 3750X with POE +, it worked like charms but not with is WC-3750-48PS-S. Looks like cisco not going to support this EOL model anymore that's why they have newer model come out.
