Cisco 5508 + Local Authentication

All,

I currently have a Cisco 5508 WLAN Controller with multiple SSIDs setup to use 802.1x with ISE for authentication.

I would like to add a new SSID to the 5508 and have it set to use local authentication only.

I have checked the Cisco documentation on the 5508 and the best I can find is with Local EAP:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-1/configuration-guide/b_cg81/b_cg81_chapter_0110001.html

Is this the correct approach?

Kind Regards,

D

Yes, that is how you configure local EAP.

Note that WLC is not ideal for a full fledged RADIUS server if you looking for a large scale deployment. This feature is mainly for lab setup or small scale deployments

Thank you for your reply. Agree regarding the WLC, this is for a small scale requirement for 1 or 2 users.

Thank you for your help!
