Hi,

1) How are you powering the access point ? PoE ? Power supply ? If power supply, how many volts does it indicate on it ?

2) Can you show your configuration (show run) ?

3) Did you plug the antenna on the correct side of the access point ? (it should mention 5ghz, antenna A)

Nicolas

3) Did you plug the antenna on the correct side of the access point ? (it should mention 5ghz, antenna A)

A: Yes I have plugged the 3 Antennas in 5GHZ antennas side

ap#

Boot the AP.  Post everything during bootup including the "sh log" and "sh version".

Hi,

Please find the attachments of show log and show version and this access is converted from LAP to AP.

Thanks,

All looks ok (by the way, the fact that your ssid is WEP prevents to use 802.11n which is a shame with an AP allowing 802.11n :-) )

Can you say which client wireless adapter you have ? The exact model ?

Regards,

Nicolas

Hi,

I am using Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter

So your client is not capable of 5ghz :-)

The AP is transmitting fine on the 5ghz but it's the client who just cannot receive it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply and just I need to know which client adapter will work for this access point.

Any that is capable of 5ghz ? :-)

Usually they put a "a" in the name. Yours only does 802.11g (2.4ghz).

Intel writes "3945 ABG" or "ABGN" if it does 11n as well.

Nicolas

Hi,

Please find the attachments. I brought Linksys WUSB600N Wireless Adapter to support 5GHZ and it works fine but giving me an error when I go little far from the access point I am loosing the signal and I am getting week signal. (What if I use AIR-ANT5195P-R antenna and if I use AIR-5135D-R antenna)

I am getting these errors: Interface Dot11Radio1, Deauthenticating Station 0025.9c9a.fe37 Reason: Sending station has left the BSS

How to fix this problem?

What distance are we talking about ?

Hi,

The distance is 2-3 meters far only.

Thanks,

I have this same access point, currently I can only configure it to with WPA - TKIP. How do I upgrade this to run WPA-2 AES encryption. I'm on site and would like to upgrade not just this one but all the others that I have as well. Please help. My current software version is 12.4(10b).JA3

Lonny

Lonny,

This is a very old thread, you really should open a new one.

That being said, the 1252 supports WPA2/AES in that version of code
