Hi,
we have a cisco 3650 switch whch is currently our management switch, we recently bought ten Aironets 2800.
attempt to make them join the 3650 WLC failed. i noticed under license that the APcount evaluation period has expired!
could it be the reason why the APs are falling to join the WLC?

- One of the easiest ways to find out if that is the reason, is to attach a console to an AP and follow the boot process. Look for error messages (e.g.).

Hi,
What does "show license right-to-use summary" say? Do you have a Lifetime for 50 AP licenses, cause probably not. If there are no licenses, fix that. If you have licenses, ensure the LAP's are properly configured to detect the WLC, and log one LAP console output as it boots and tries to reach the WLC:

I assume, you got software version 16.3.x or below. Try this command
3650#license right-to-use activate apcount 50 slot 1 acceptEULA
