Hi, I have buyed 3 Aironet 1142n AP, where is described that are 802.11n compliant. But there is no way to configure a Data Rates more than 54.0Mb/sec.. so only 802.11g. In the configuration this is the max speed allowed. I really don't understant why. The network interface configurable are 2, 1 interface Radio0-802.11n 2.4Ghz and Radio1 802.11N 5Ghz but both only to 54Mb/sec maximal Data rates speed!! Someone can help me?
Thank you very much,
Matteo

You will not see more than 54 Mbps on the data rates. It's the MCS rates that you need to look at.
The max you will see in the 2.4 is 145mbps. On the 5ghz, you can get up to 300mbps. You need to make sure you either use open authentication or wpa2/aes, which is an 802.11n standard. WMM needs to be enabled and the channel width on the 5ghz must be set to 40mhz.

Hello, I am having similar problems....can the 1142 be setup for local authentication on wpa2/aes, or is a dedicated radius serve required? thanks
