Hi,

Is anyone know if it is possible to paint the Cisco AP 1572 Outdoor?

Is there a Cisco document that specifies that ?

Thanks

Hervé

I believe it is safe to paint the Access Points but ensure it is non-metallic paint and that, if using a darker paint, the AP is not going to absorb too much sunlight which will cause it to heat up and potentially overheat.

It would be best to discuss with your vendor as painting the Access Point may void the warranty.

Cheers,

Ric

Hi Ric, Thanks for your reply. You are right paint the AP1572 will void the warranty. The workaround will be cover the AP with Oberon or Panduit equipement. Regards Hervé

To change the color of an AP, use colored vinyl tape or purchase a colored plastic cover from Oberon . The Oberon cover can also be used to hide the Cisco logo or hide the LED. Do not paint the AP, since that voids the warranty.

Reach out to local seller for a Solar shield cover if available for 1570 model as available for 1530 model.
