- Connect it to a cisco switch , power it up and after a while on the switch issue the command : show cdp neighbors detail

- Don't waste your time on it , the AP will most likely be running a controller based image and can then not work standalone, for converting and downloading other software you need a software contract at cisco. Look for wireless solutions in the home market ,

To expand on what Marce is saying: the 2800 AP will normally be running a lightweight (CAPWAP) software image which only works with a Wireless LAN Controller (WLC).
If you want to run it as standalone it is possible to convert it to Mobility Express which runs a mini version of WLC on the AP itself.
But to do that you would need a console cable for the AP and if you have a console cable then you can easily check what IP address it has directly from the console.
You could also check the AP IP on the DHCP server (ISP router?) but that doesn't really help you because there's nothing much you can do with that IP.
You should probably consider something like: https://www.meraki-go.com/products/wifi-access-points/
