Hello,

I noticed on our 5508 WLC that an access point on the roof of one of our buildings is down (roof terrance). On the PoE switch is now shows Ieee PD instead of AIR-CAP1532E-EK9

I have done a shut and no shut and I get the same.  Nothing shows within CDP.

I seems to of happened when we rebooted the PoE switch one eve.

The place is shut due to Covid19.

I did a cable test too

Any other things I can try?

30 second shutdown did the trick for a few of my WAPs.  Guess the capacitor really needs to drain.

I am also facing the exact same issue; we are using cisco 4800 WAP, I also tried to take console of the WAP;

in my case, I found out that WAP continuously reboots and never up stable.

I am still searching for the right solution; if anybody has any idea pls help...can not share the port output due to security reasons.

  1. Console into the AP and post the complete output so we can see what the AP is doing.
  2. Post the output we've requested above and remove the IP addresses and description.

If #1 and #2 cannot be provided due to "security reasons" then raise a TAC Case.

NOTE:  For "security reasons" it is also not a good idea to post "security related" matters in forum where every person can see.
