Hi,

wlc model 5508

ios :8.5.135.0

AP Model:3700/3800/2600

AP-Mode: Flex connect

We have configured the flex group in our infra.

Due to link flaps the AP's disassociates from WLC and joins back to the wlc.

But it is not joining to the respective flex group.

any one help us ,what would be the reason for AP not joining to flex group.

Regards,

Anjana

 - Check controller logs when this happens and on the AP logon and issue show logging

Is your controller in N+N Design? if yes make sure both the controller configuration is consistent like AP groups, Flex groups, WLAN profile etc. if not then it lands on its own and it would be unpredictable and changes all the policies.

Also make sure good practice is followed like AP group = Flex Group

Setting up HA SSO would remove such management overhead.

If you have more than one controller, it does seem like the ap joins another controller that is not configured identical to the controller that it lost connection to.  Now if you have a single controller, then that is an issue and I would look at the bug toolkit to see if there is a bug listed for the issue you are having.
