Cisco Prime NCS Alarms

I'm having trouble view Alarms in Prime NCS.

I get the Alarms panel, but no alarms under the 'Alarms' heading.

Alarms.PNG

Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.57 m and Firefox 25.0.1 are doing the same thing. IE 10.0.9200 shows the alarms, but not the maps. These are all fresh installs on a new image, so I'm sure I'm missing some plugin or addon. Any advice?

did u installed the adobe flash ???

You must install Adobe Flash Player on the client machine for Prime NCS features to work properly. cisco recommended that you download and install Adobe Flash Player version 11.0.1.152 from the Adobe website.

Hope it helps.

Yes, Adobe Flash is on both Google Chrome and Firefox. Still no alarms.

HI James,

as per my knowledge, it is the problem with your web Browser or flash plug in.

Please check again.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? I'm still having this issue. According to reports Flash version

11.0.1.152 has been pulled because of security issues. I am using the latest version 11.9.900.

Current state:

Internet Explorer - I can view  the alarms when ChromeFrame is disabled, but I cannot view the maps. I  can view the maps with ChromeFrame enabled, but can't view the alarms.

Firefox - I can view everything EXCEPT the alarms. No matter what plugins I disable/re-enable, the alarms do not show.

Chrome - Shows that Flash is installed by default. Cannot view alarms.

I  have reinstalled Flash numerous times in trying to get this to work. I  am left with keeping NCS open in both IE and Firefox. IE to view the  alarms, and Firefox for everything else.

EDIT: Alarms work in Firefox in Cisco ISE, but not NCS.

what version of NCS or Prime Infrastructure.

My guess is you don't have the appropriate patches applied is the reason nothing is showing on the page:::

Version: 1.1.1.24 - rev 65013

James,

It sounds like you're missing some patches.

Please reply back w/ the output of a show version and a show application as well as the CCO id you use to login to your Cisco Connection Online account.  I will publish any patches you don't have installed to that CCO Id.

Thanks Rob!

There is a patch to fix the alarm browser not showing up. I just had a customer install the patch and works fine now.

Give Rob your info and he should be able to get you that patch and instructions to install it.

Thanks again Rob!

Will mark your post correct once we get the patches installed and tested.

Patches installed and tested good. Problem is resolved in 2 out of the 3 browsers, which is good enough for me! Thank you, sir!
