Good Day,
We have two sites, lets call them Site A and Site B. Both sites have their own controller but site A has the correct SSID's and authentication via AD credentials, while site B has a different SSID that uses a pre shared key.
What we want to do is connect both controller to be on the same domain, and have the same SSID's and everyone in both sites authenticating with their AD credentials.
As far as I have read we need to make them to be on the same domain and pair them by specifying the neighbor details on each, but I am not sure. Please help.

you don't need to joint the controllers.
Making multiple controllers member of same mobility group is only relevant if there is much roaming of clients between access points served by different controllers.
so
- connect the second controller for authentication by AD
- create a wlan with same settings as site-A (ssid, authentication etc
- eneble the wlan on the accesspoints of site-b
for ease of management look at Cisco Prime Infrastructure
here you create templates that can be pushed to both controllers, so both configs of the same wlan are in sync. but if your changes on the wlan infrastructure are not that much, using PI is overkill
