cisco wlc advice software version

i have wlc 5508 and 60 ap with 2702、3702、2802、3802，now i software version is 8.3.111，but some apple device disconnect wifi ，i think wlc software is old，i want to update version.

8.5.x or 8.10.x who's win?

as per cisco GOLD 8.10.X ( but most of my deployment 8.5 and stable as per my personal opinion)

check the version of matrix support for your AP and also what is the new feature required on 8.10 by reading the release notes.

Personally, i go step by step approach - upgrade to 8.5X and check all working as expected, if the required move to 8.10 soon or later.

I am on 8.10.142.0 for the last 2 weeks (8540, HA SSO) and so far so good.

wlc 5508 not support 8.10，i will update to 8.5.164.

You should check https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-tac-recommended-aireos.html#anc10

TAC only recommend/support 8.5.0.164 for IRCM deployments (interworking with new 9800 WLCs).

You should consider 8.5.161.0 or ask TAC for latest 8.5 escalation image or wait for 8.5MR7 which is expected to be released mid-February.
