Why does the WLC lets you set to custom the channels and also turned on clean air technology?. I thought clean air will dynamically change the channels of the AP. or can you still have or set your channels to auto and have clean air on? Thanks in advance

DCA - Dynamic Channel Allocation (part of RRM) & CleanAir (also called ED-RRM, Event Driven RRM) are two different features.
Under DCA, if AP channel need to be change, it will be only occurred that channel change make significant improvement to overall network.
However, ED-RRM or cleanair can change a channel of a AP based on interference that individual detect. Pls see below

If you statically set AP channel, then it won't change by clean air. However if you leave it to Auto & CleanAir enabled, it can change its channel in the event of RF inteference

CleanAir and static channel assignments are two different things. CleanAir detects wireless interference. EDRRM, however, will take the results from CleanAir and evaluate if there is the need to take actions.
So yes, one can configure static channel & power but CleanAir functions as well. With this settings, EDRRM is disabled only on the APs with static channel &/or power configuration.
