Hi all,
I have a connection problem between an application installed on a device and a server. The scenario is as follows:
APs are managed by WLC with different versions (7.4.x and 8.2.x). The device remains always connected, the ping is never lost to the server but the application installed on the device wrapped loses the connection with the server. This does not happen by cable.
What do you control?
Thanks for the support.

What kind of application? Is it using some sort of Multicast or is it TCP or UDP?
Is the mobility group between the two WLC UP?
Why are you still using 7.4.x?
Hi Patoberli,
thanks for the reply. The application uses non-standard high tcp ports. The 2 WLCs are not connected to each other, they are independent. The WlcA has version 8.2.x and manages AP models 1800 and 1600, the WlcB has the 7.4.x version and manages AP models 1600 and 1200. I still use the 7.4.x version due to the AP 1200.

When you are connected via cable and doing the test, is the device using the same IP subnet as what you were testing with on the wireless?
Yes, uses an IP from the same subnet. The Device is found both in wifi and via cable in vlan 10 instead the server is in vlan 5. The traffic is local, the APs are configured in flexconnect mode and there is a router that acts as L3.
