Hi all,

I having a client device which always get into DHCP_REQD mode. There's no problem for other connecting to this WLAN.

Fact:

01 .We are using External DHCP for this WLAN.

02. The WLC is running on version 8.0.110.0

03. security is WPA2 with PSK key. Authentication is success, i can see the client status is associated.

I had attach the dhcp debug message and debug client log, hopefully this will ease you guys to understand from it.

Million thanks

Noel

Hi Young,

I had the same problem with clients stucking n DHCP_REQD on 8.0.110.0  the reason is because bug CSCur00288, this is fixed on 8.0.110.7.

Contact Cisco TAC and see if they can provide you the escalation image, but if want to wait MR2 will be release soon with this bug fix.

Regards

Raf

Hi Raf,

Thanks for the reply.

i check the bug condition but it seems doesn't apply on my case, i not using flexconnect anyway.

But it is good to give a try to use the fixed version image and see how it goes

thanks

Noel

What is the device type?

I have seen this with 4 android 5 devices.  I think its something to due with misconfig on android and mfp settings.  Although I'm not sure why I have hundreds of other android 5 devices working ok.  I see this same when I debug one of the devices that is stuck in DHCP_REQ
