Code Country

Hi Everyone...

I have a doubt .. I"m migrating some access point from a local where they were using US and TW code country, but in the new locality there is only the active country code BR.

Here comes my doubt

What would be the impact if I did not activate the US and TW code on the destination controller?

Hi,

I think, you have to at least add TW coutry code. 5GHz Country code is different.

 BR (-A ,-AR ): A * * * * A * * * * A . . .
TW (-A ,-ANT ): A * * * * A * * * * A . . .
US (-A ,-AB ): A * * * * A * * * * A . . .

BR (-TZ ,-ANZ ): . A . A . A . A A A A A * * * * * * * * * * * A A A A * . .
TW (-T ,-NT ): . . . . . . . . A A A * * * * * * * * * * * * A A A A * . .
US (-AB ,-AB ): . A . A . A . A A A A A * * * * * * * * * * * A A A A * . .

Check here

But you can configure all Country codes..

(WLC1) >config country US,TW,BR
Changing country code could reset channel & RRM grouping configuration.
If running in RRM One-Time mode, reassign channels after this command.
Check customized APs for valid channel values after this command.
Are you sure you want to continue? (y/n) y

Disable 802.11a and 802.11b networks prior to configuring country code.

(WLC1) >show country channels
