Compatibility between Cisco AP and Cisco WLC

Hello everyone. We have WLC 5508 model and Software version 8.5.164.0 with a lot AP , which connected and properly work with it. Now we bought a several AP with a little different model, but visually it the same as our old-s. There is AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 number on these AP, and its System Software Version is 15.3(3)JD17 and Boot version is 2.4(23c)JA. Can't find anywhere are AP with that software compatible with WLC with that software. Maybe this problem is not about Software at all.

Thank you! I found that link before, but couldn't find information in beginning of the file, and thought that entire file is about different things.

 - The compatibility matrix provides info's concerning ap models and controller compatibility with software versions ; please  state if you need additional explanation or if something is not clear for you  ,

The last version to support 1142 was 8.3.150.0 so it will not work with 8.5 software.

Wait. It won't even if it be upgraded to newer version? It won't take 15.3(3)JF12i IOS, which use currently working AP-s?

Correct - the WLC will not allow it to join on any software later than 8.3.150.0.
