Conecting to a 1130 AP and 1231 via console

I can't manage to get a console cable to work to any of my access points. I am using the same cable I connect to all my switches but to no avail. Do I need a special cable?

I did try changing the settings to 1200 8/n/1 to see if that would help and that did not. Went through a bunch of settings with none working. All I get is Hyperterminal telling me it is connecting and nothing on the screen. I have plugged the AP in to POE for power and straight to the wall.

BTW - It will get an ip address from the DHCP server but will not allow me to conect via HTTP to it either.

Any ideas?

After a bunch more retries and recreating the hyperterminal session again and again I can now connect over the console cable. I can ping and evertyhing from the console, just have to work on getting to the AP because that is still not wokring.
