Hi together,
I upgraded today my WLC (ISM-SRE-300-K9) from 7.0.220.0 to the current version 7.4.110.0.
All clients are connected, but the default gateway is incorrectly set.
For example my default gateway is 192.168.0.254 (set in the admin-interface)
I get on the client the default gateway: 254.0.168.192
I have already tried to set it incorrect in the admin interface, but the interface says, that this is not allowed.
Any ideas, what I have to do?
Thanks!
Regards,
Manu

check & see what the DHCP server is handing out.
Also, check under WLAN | Advanced tab to see if you are overriding the DHCP settings of the interface

Hi Eric,
there is no overriding DHCP server.
The DHCP server is correctly configured and handing out all correct except the gateway...
I've already tried to delete the scope and add a new scope.

Hi Manuel,
Little confused here :-(
You mean to say that your interface has the default gateway configured as 192.168.36.33 but your DHCP client is getting the default gateway ip address as 33.36.168.192???
What DHCP server are you using?

Hi Najaf,
yes, this is right.
I am using the internal DHCP server of the WLC.
Some further details:
I upgraded from 7.0.240.0 to the current version.
The WLC is a ISM-SRE-300-K9 in a Cisco 1941/K9 and 9 Cisco AIR-LAP1042N-A-K9 Access Points.

Hi,
That is interesting.
On DHCP scope can you try setting gateway as 33.36.168.192 and verify if clients are getting default gateway as 192.168.36.33 :-)

Hi,
I have already tried this...
It's not allowed to set an incorrect gateway...

Hi Manu,
Have a look at this 7.4 bug
7.4 SRE-WLC DHCP Server, default gateway and dns offer reversed |
Symptom: An SRE WLC configured as a DHCP Server may offer octet reversed default gateway and DNS server values (eg 4.3.2.1 instead of 1.2.3.4) Conditions: SRE-WLC running 7.4.100.0 or 7.4.100.60 Workaround: Use an external DHCP server or downgrade to pre 7.4 code. More Info: |
Cheers!
