We removed the APs on a floor while its under construction, and obviously it triggered alarms in CPI.
Correct me if I'm wrong:
If I acknowledge the alarm, if an AP disconnects from the controller after I install them it will not trigger an alarm.
I should clear the alarm when the alarm condition no longer exists. (When the AP is online)
What happens if I delete the alarm? Will I get another alarm the next time CPI checks the status of the APs and the AP is still down?

I delete alarms all the time, because it becomes messy:) So if you acknowledge and alarm, it should not present its self again. Ifyou delete an alarm, next time CPI goes through its polling checks, it will probably alert you. Its like the alerts you get when you don't have all 8 ports connected on the wlc 5508 for example. You get alerts saying that those ports are down. You always can remove the acknowledge alerts later.
Thanks,
Scott
