Hi
I have one question about WLC.
WLC can perform DHCP request load balancing between primary and secondary external DHCP servers.
If not please let me know what would be best way to use both servers equally.
Thanks
Nomi

Hi Nomi:
WLC can not load balance DHCP requests.
What you can do is to (not necessary equal load balancing):
- If you have multiple controllers assign DHCP server (for same corresponding interface) A as primary on WLC1 and as secondary on WLC2 and vice versa.
- If your clinets do not necessarily need to be on same VLAN then you can use interface group with two interfaces in the group. first interface uses DHCP server 1 as perimary while the other interface uses DHCP server 1 as secondary. This way if client 1 connects he will be mapped to interface 1 and get an IP address from the primary DHCP for this interface (DHCP server 1). When second client connects it will be mapped to interface 2 and get an IP address from this interface (DHCP Server 2).
This needs the two dnamic interfaces to be on different VLANs because you can not create two dynamic interfaces on same controller with same VLAN identifier.
