Distance Between AP TO WLC

Hello, I am back with another question.

When AP tries to communicate with WLC? How far can AP go in terms of distance to create the capwap tunnel?

Will it be broadcast or unicast?

there is no limit as such, you just want to keep your link latency between AP and WLC under 300ms. 

capwap like most tunnel is unicast where source of tunnel is AP IP and destination is controller AP manager IP (which is controller management IP in most case).

Depends on Deployment (WLC 9800 vs airos WLC), as long as AP can reach to WLC that should be good enough for the AP to register with WLC
