Downgrade AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 LWAPP to autonomous

Hi all,

I would like to downgrade Cisco Aironet 1142N to autonomous. But I would like to know is there any way to download the LWAPP IOS before upload the Autonomous IOS ? because I want to upgrade the 1142N from autonomous to LWAPP when I buy a LAN Controller.

Is that possible to use that backedup LWAPP IOS when I want to upgrade the Cisco Aironet 1142N autonomous to LWAPP?

Thank you for the reply. But it is not clear to me. my apology about that(I'm newbie to these things)I tried to download IOS from Cisco site and it required a contract. Since I thinnk I have to buy the IOS from a reseller. Am I right?  Can you please clarify the steps how to backup the old IOS before upload new autonomous IOS ?.

If you don't have a smartnet contract tied to your CCO for that device, you will not be able to download any code. You can ask the vendor who sold you it for the code.

How do change the code you can find on the Internet. Here is one way

do you want to change it to autonmous mode ?

first you need W7 image to run on AP.
