EWC Redundancy

Hello,

I'm configuring an EWC on my cat 9120 AP.

When I finish my configuration, how can I configure a second EWC for redundancy?

Is it enough to just connect a factory new EWC to the network like I used to do with Mobility express access-point?

Tks

Johnny

Q.  Is redundancy supported on the Cisco Embedded Wireless Controller on Catalyst Access Points?
A.   Yes, all EWC access points are capable of running the controller function. When subordinated EWC-capable 9100 Access Points join, the active EWC access point selects a standby EWC access point based on an algorithm, and active-standby redundancy is formed. In the event of a failure of the active EWC access point, the standby EWC access point becomes active automatically and a new standby is selected.

When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

Just to add

- Any AP wish to become standby eWLC, must run eWLC image, no AP with CAPWAP image can become standby.

- If you want to hardcode the standby eWLC, power the AP, wait till it registers to the primary eWLC, go to Access Points==>Select the AP==>Advanced==>Select Preferred Controller.

Hi @l.buschi @Arshad Safrulla ,

I have 9120 EWLC setup. We have all AP in CAPWAP image joined EWLC and one AP with EWC image joined Active controller. We enabled EWC AP with preferred controller to make it standby , but its not showing in redundancy .

Do i need to enable preferred controller on Active EWLC also and reboot it . Then it comes as active hot standby setup
