Fast SSID Change C9800

Hello,

Looking for some guidance on how to enable Fast SSID change on the new C9800 WLC. Any help would be appreciated.

Configuration > WLANS

Click on the WLAN you to edit

Click on Security  and look for Fast Transition

In the old 5508 FAST SSID CHANGE used to be under Controller-General tab with fast transition being under the WLAN setting. Are these 2  the same? I do see  fast transition under the WLAN setting in the new WLC.

This isn't something that is configurable in the 9800. There is just a built-in behavior to handle how clients change SSIDs. This has actually been problematic and is set to change in 17.2.1 and possibly 16.12.3. Look up this bug CSCvq45372 which is basically the clients getting deauthed on the change or the client is getting an assoc-resp failure.
