Hi,

I have several WLANs per Policy tag, and each is mapped to different VLAN under Policy profile.

Is the Flex profile neccessary if VLAN mapping is configured under Policy profile for each WLAN or the default flex profile can be used instead?

              - What controller model are you using ?

Controller is C9800.

 - Albeit not being a direct reply , your issue and or any wrong configuration settings will be pointed out and commented on by the WirelessAnalyzer procedure  : use the CLI command show tech wireless  and feed the output into
                                                                             Wireless Config Analyzer

You can iterate with WirelessAnalyzer meaning making changes on the 9800 configuration and use WirelessAnalyzer again until you have a  satisfactory result (it will also give advices on many other topics too)

Industry Best Practices invite you not to use default profiles or configurations.

Cisco C9800 BP indicates that as well (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/guide-c07-743627.html).
