Flexconnect APs with no VLAN Mapping

Sirs,

Could someone please explain how switching occurs on a Flexconnect AP that doesn´t have its VLAN support tab filled in?

Will it switch data over its default vlan, or tunnel back to the controller as in Local mode?

I´ve been trying to gather this information but all I got were how-to´s that showed how to enable Flexconnect AND map Vlans, but I got a customer that didn´t map them and I don´t know how it affects switching.

Thanks in advance,

Pedro Prado

Hi,

If you have configured your AP in flex-connect mode and connectivity to the WLC through the WAN is up.

then all the switching occurs through the WLC means it tunnel back to the controller.

But if connectivity lose between the AP and controller then AP start authentication and all its switching locally.
