Get gateway, dns from LAP1142

the WLC 5508 is setup

LAP1142 can join the WLC

My iphone4 can join the Wireless network and

get IP 169.254.250.114

sub mask 255.255.0.0

but no gateway, no dns

where can i assign ip range, gateway, dns for the mobile devices?  thanks a lot.

Hi Tony,

Ur client is not getting the valid IP address.. the 169 Ip address is microsoft APIPA default IP address.. please make sure whether we have the DHCP pool configured in the device, if yes check the network connectvity to the same..

i've gone throught all the items in WLC but not found the DHCP pool for the connected mobile devices.

Could you advise where i can set them?

i've set the DHCP scope at WLC/controller/internal DHCP server

but i think it is for LAP, not for the wireless client

because LAP gets the IP from this range

am i correct? 

how about the wireless client connecting to LAP?

Map the same interface to the WLAN and see if that helps..
