Guest user WLC Logging

HI,

My costumer has a guest WLAN with web authentication and local user database configured by lobbyadmin.

He would like to log to a syslog each time a gust user authenticates.

On release 8.5 via syslog he could receive many logs and filter them by some key words obtaining all he wanted.

Now we upgraded WLC 5520 to 8.10 release but logging is no more working.

Is there a way to log guest user authentication (the log should show timestamp, username, IP address and mac address) and any other unused information. We want to use a key word to filter the messages.

Many tks

Johnny

if it was working, check is there any config changed ? after upgrade ? compare old config vs new config.

you can configured as below example :

Configure the syslog facility for client by entering this command:

config logging syslog facility client {assocfail | associate | authentication | authfail | deauthenticate | disassociate | excluded} {enable | disable}
