HA (AP SSO) between evaluation licensed 5508 and permanent licensed 5508

Hi,

According to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10315/products_tech_note09186a0080bd3504.shtml#req, it lists an option for HA pairing between "One WLC has an Evaluation license and the other WLC has a HA SKU UDI or Permanent license".

The bullet points under that section appears to suggest a scenario where evaluation licensed 5508 act as a primary and a permanent licensed 5508 act as a secondary.

My question is when the switchover occurs, does the secondary 5508 inherit the 90-day evaluation license?  So then what happens when this 90-days expire or will it ever expire?  If it expires, does that mean we need to purchase a proper license to reactivate HA pairing?

I have a 5508 with a 500 ap-count evaluation license that will expire in 90-days time and a 5508 with 250 permanent ap-count.  Just wanted to make sure this combo will be able to achieve HA.

TIA,

Byung

The evaluation license will expire after 90 days of purchase even afre you do switch over to secondary.
