I have two 1200's installed in a building. I am using the 350 adapter in a laptop and roam throughout the building. Currently I do not roam to a closer access point until I hit rock bottom on the signal. I would like to roam when I'm in the fair area, rather than at the bottom of poor. Any suggestions would be appreciated. THANKS!!

For your 350 adapter, if you're using the latest version of firmware - 4.25.30
and the latest version of ACU 5.02.005, you should be able to find the
following new checkbox option:
Periodically Scan For A Better Access Point
in your ACU > Edit Profile > RF Network tab.

PS: I haven't test whether this option work or not.

I just upgraded to 5.03 ACU and its not there. I have access to another PC with the 5.02 ACU and will check it later today.
Thanks!

FYI, the ACU does not show the checkbox unless you have the adapter inserted. I got hung up on this with a customer.
Another thing you could do is to stop the AP from communicating at 1 or 2 Mbps (setup>AP radio hardware). That way, you'd lose association to the APs a lot quicker.

Hi,
The ACU is intelligent that if it detected the firmware of the adapter (e.g. PCM350) not latest enough, it will not display the checkbox option. I've tried before, once I updated the firmware of the adapter, the checkbox will be available.
