Hi,
I have configured WIFI SSID for mobility device to connect network. (ex:iphone, android phone, pad etc...)
And we use notebook connect to SSID, and check WIFI roaming status, it always only one maybe two times by Ping.
But when we try to user Android PAD to connect SSID, when it roam from AP1 to AP2,
The android PAD will lost WIFI connection about 5~8 second.
Is this normal status, or android device need to configure something ?
Wireless device:
WiSM2(8.0.110), AP1702I
Android device type:
--samsung galaxy S--
--iPad mini--

That is not normal especially of the APs are in the same WiSM2. You might want to review how your wlan is configured. Try not to have multiple encryption types. Use WPA2/AES only if possible not WPA2/AES and WPA/TKIP together.

Encryption does consume the resources hence delay however hardware could also be a reason. Found one discussion where diff. android models have issue with roaming
