Hi!
I have a HP rugged notebook Model # nr3600 with Cisco Aironet 350 Mini-PCI wireless LAN adaptor accessing the Network through ORiNOCO Access Points AP Manager,1,1.54 - (Lucent Technologies). The connectivity, operation and performance with this Lucent Access point looks perfect except the AP manager does not list this client .Tried with lastest ver of AP , but no luck. If we change the Wireless LAN card (external)with Non cisco on Laptop side, it works and gets listed also in AP manager of ORiNOCO .
Is it compatability issue between different vendors or driver update is required for WLAN card .
Regards,
Raju

We need more information on the ORiNOCO Access Point AP Manager. Please correct me if I misunderstand your problem. A Cisco 350 wireless client adapter associates to an ORiNOCO AP. Connectivity is fine. Only the association table (in Cisco's term) does not show the entry for the Cisco 350 wireless client.
As different vendors implement their own propietary scheme, I suspect that the AP mis-identify the Cisco wireless client (similar to enable Aironet-Extension on Cisco AP). You probably need to work with ORiNOCO tech support.

Hello Raju,
I believe this is related to the 350 client card software, if you are running a version like 1.0.x or 1.1.x then updating the software to the latest 1.5.x should resolve this issue. It is just an issue with the way the Orinoco AP see the client device. Hope this helps and let me know how the results.
Best Regards.
Aaron
