Hi,
I've got a scenario where, the controller is in the central office with 4APs (172.27.x.x /23) and another AP configured for HREAP sitting in the remote office.
Remote office AP IP add: 172.28.x.x /23
I've got 2 SSIDs defined in the controller and broadcasted by all APs. Guest and Staff.
In the remote office, there is also another DHCP server used to distribute IP to wired and wireless clients. Central office has its own DHCP server with 172.27.x.x pool.
However, with HREAP local switching enabled on the remote office AP, they are unable to obtain an IP address.
With local switching disabled, they get the central office's IP range instead (172.27.x.x).
Is there a way to configure the remote AP (with local switching) to obtain IP address from its local(remote office) DHCP server (172.28.x.x range)?

At the remote office. How is the switch port configured that connects to the AP, TRUNK?

Hi George,
No, it is in access mode (say vlan 10).
Points to an svi int which has the same range as the controller's int.
