dear team,
I am trying to configure HREAP option in CIsco 3850 switch and WLC 5508. I am not able to get the HREAP option in the advance TAB of the WLAN tab. Kindly let me know whether I can configure HREAP option in Cisco 3850 switch and Cisco WLC 5508.

Hi,
yes - you need to do the following:
Under wireless tab on the WLC, select the AP yu want to configure as H-REAP mode, then under the APs general tab. Choose AP Mode., and configure this to H-REAP mode.
Beware you will also need to modify the switch port that the AP is connected to must be changed to a trunkport, i.e. switchport mode trunk.
Here is a link for more detail.

Hi
3850/5760 (or Converged Access) does not support H-REAP or any other modes other than LOCAL mode AP deployment
See below for WLC feature comparison

Hi Rasika,
What about Cisco 5508. I am using Cisco AP 1600 and 3600 for this HREAP use. Am I able to configure HREAP in Cisco 5508 along with Cisco AP 1602 and 3600 series.

Hi,
As per the Cisco documents, HREAP has been migrated as flex connect mode.

That all depends on the version of code that is running on the controller, I started off with HREAP on our 5508 because I was running a 7.0.x.x version once I moved to 7.4 HREAP was converted to flex connect...
