That is the licence for the 2504.

The Cisco Wireless compatibility matrix is located here

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

It says the 2504 highest software version is 8.5 which also is a compatible version for the 2800 and 3800 APs

Hello Hydan

Thanks for the reply, Could You help me to know if I'm able to upgrade from software release of  7.4.140.0   to  release 8.5.176.0 on this license    L-LIC-CT2504-25A

As I can only see that by using the above license the last supported version is 7.4.140.0 as per Cisco software research tool

Awaiting for your advise, Thanks ..

Hi

Your main problem is that the 2504 has reached EoL https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/2504-wireless-controller/eos-eol-notice-c51-740645.html

If you are lucky, you can get one more year of support contract, which would allow you to download the needed software. I think you need to do some intermediate steps (probably first to 8.0.x), check the release notes for the upgrade path:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/wireless/2500-series-wireless-controllers/products-release-notes-list.html

Typically the 2504 came already with some license pre-installed and then if you needed more APs, you'd buy an Adder license, but I'm not 100% sure.
You can check this with the command 'show license'.

For the new APs to connect (after upgrading to a supported software release), make sure the 2504 is correctly synced with NTP, date and time must be correct.
