Hi, I have recently added a new AP in my office close to another AP, which are being managed by Cisco WLC.

Could you please give me a brief idea about how to optimize the radio frequency or channel utilization?

We've got 4 APs and two of them are very close.

How do I achieve a channel assignment as shown above?

Please help me, I am a complete beginner to wireless...

Hi, if you have WLC then you can leave it on automatic configuration from WLC.
Just enable TPC (Tx power control) and DCA (Dynamic channel assignment) features for both 802.11a and 802.11b/g/n.
You can do it under Wireless tab in WLC web GUI in sections for 802.11a and 802.11b/g/n

Or if you want to have specific config as you describe above then go to Wireless tab and under Access Points and Radios you can configure specific values for each AP and frequency manually
