IOS XE Release	Access Point Image Version Number	Access Point Release
Cisco IOS XE 17.16.1	17.16.0.88	17.16.1
Cisco IOS XE 17.15.2	17.15.2.52	15.3(3)JPT1

The AP software version matches the WLC version now @eglinsky2012 rather than the old 15.x.x version numbers that came from the AireOS/IOS software days.
