Is cisco wireless "wavelength" same as normal mobile phone?

Hi forum,

My production floor do not allow mobile phones because the "wavelength" affect production machines.

But we constantly move PCs all over the place at production floor. I am thinking of using wireless network.

I was posted this question - is the "wavelength" of the wireless network similar to those "wavelength" used by mobile phones? if so, then it will be a red light.

Can someone help me?

for the most part, the radio frequencies of 'wireless phones', such as the cisco ip phone 7920, are much higher than your 'cell phone'.

wireless phones will operate at 2.4ghz >> 5ghz on average depending on the type of radiowave/signal being generated.

cell phones operate at much lower frequencies from 800mhz to 1900mhz.

i cannot say whether or not this would interfere with your environment. you will have to perform a 'site survey' to get an exact understanding of what your environment entails, if you have not already done so.

Thanks for your help. I will submit this to the management first.

When you are saying "site survey", what could I specifically done to find out? I was requested by the equipment manager at the floor to check the wireless frequency range but I am not allow to bring in any wireless staff into the floor before confirming this.
