Hi experts,

I wanted to find out if it's possible to assign a DHCP pool to a specific SSID on the Cisco Aironet 1142. If so, what commands do I need to implement?

Thanks in advance.

regards

Fari

We cannot directly assign the DHCP pool for the SSID, we can map the SSID with a VLAN and this VLAN subnet can be configured for the DHCP pool..

So that client connecting to the SSID wil hit the VLAN and then from that VLAN the DHCP will be initiated..

On the AP you can configure the DHCP pool or even on the switch or any L3 device or the server..

SSID, per se, no.  However, you can assign a DHCP pool based on subnet and VLAN.  Your SSID can be assigned to a specific VLAN.  So YES.

Leo,

Happened twice!! you were quick by a min!!

Fari,

Yes you can do this but map the SSID to vlan and create the dhcp pool for that vlan subnet.
