Hi C9800 wlc is installed in esxi vm. I got the below info. But do not know why interface is down. ESXi configuration is not issue because other ios client using it can work well. The first one is configuration on default interface, and second is show ip interface bri. Thank you

Do you need to have the interface part of VLAN 1?

Hi, looks like during installation you didn't attach any network interface to this VM as this should be visible as the interface GigabitEthernetX then you are assigning the physical up/up interface to vlan1 and then vlan1 should be also in up/up state.

Don’t rush anything. Figure out the different ways to setup the interfaces by looking at different guides and blogs. I have three interfaces but only use one. You can use two or three, depending on what you want to do.
Look at the guide that was posted, but look at others also.

Thank you very much for your reply. I totally agree with you.

but i do not know why physical interface cannot be attached. other vm can attach several interfaces.

Follow my installation document, make sure you attached interfaces.
