Hi all,
My setup:
WLC: Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series (RMI-RP HA Mode)
Firmware Version: 17.04.01 (Bengaluru)
RAP: Cisco IW-6300H - using static IP, PoE Switch power input
MAP: Cisco IW-6300H - using static IP, AC power input
Situation 1: MAP connected direct to network switch using network cable -> MAP join to WLC thru ethernet backhaul
Situation 2: disconnect network cable -> MAP join to WLC thru RAP backhaul
Situation 3: MAP reboot -> MAP cannot join WLC & searching for radio channel
Please advise

It seems there is a bug in the firmware, so I downgrade to firmware version 17.3.2a and the MAP now can join WLC thru RAP

Did you add the MAC of the MAP to the WLC? You need this for Mesh to work when you are connecting through RAP.

I add the MAC of all AP in Device Authentication
-> Configuration>Security>AAA>AAA Advanced>Device Authentication
