Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my IW9167E access point running the WGB software. The AP is connected to a switchport configured as trunk, and behind the switch I have 2 VLANs:
1x VLAN for management
1x VLAN for traffic
The AP and the switch both have an IP address from the management VLAN. After doing the wireless configuration and successfully connected the WGB AP to my network, I was able to ping the traffic VLAN device sitting behind the switch, but never the AP and the switch. I checked everything. I have Aironet IE, WGB VLAN and Broadcast tagging enabled on the WLC C9800.
On the WGB, I did configure the native vlan and broadcast tagging features, and if I connect a client to the switch on the same management VLAN, I can ping both the switch and the AP. I am running version 17.18.1 on the WLC and the AP.
Can someone help me?
Thanks!

>>> The AP is connected to a switchport configured as trunk <<<
and the switchport's native vlan is configured with the management vlan?
read this document:

Hi @pieterh,
Yes the switchport is configured with the native vlan as the management vlan. The same native vlan is configured on both the AP and the switchport. I will also check the document.
Thanks.

Hi,
@Jake9988 When it doesn't work, are you connected over WiFi or over wired, and in which VLAN are you attached? Do you have routing enabled between those VLAN's?
Thanks,
Cristian.

Hi @Cristian Matei ,
I am always attached over wired, and within another VLAN. However, connectivity between VLANs is working. I can ping other clients in the same VLAN as the APs.
Strange thing happened yesterday, what I do when I leave the site is that I turn off everything. Yesterday, after turning back on the system, I tried to ping the WGP APs from the WLC without first initiating the ping from the APs, and I don't know how, they replied.
I thought everything worked, until today, when I turned on the system back again, and nothing was working. I really don't know what is happening. What changed since yesterday is that I was connected to the internet, but today I am not. Do you think it’s a license issue? Or is it a software bug?
Note that the WGBs doesn't have the dna license included, and I am running version 17.18.1 (which I know it's still in Beta phase).
Thanks!

@Jake9988 Could you please share the output of show workgroup-bridge and show run int from the AP?

does this version 17.8.1-beta offer a specific feature that you need?
if not, you might consider a downgrade to the latest stable version ?
as this version is a beta you may encounter issues that have not been detected by the community members before!
(and as such we cannot answer your question)

Well, it offers the URWB feature on the Cisco WLC 9800. I am deploying WiFi and URWB on the same infrastructure. I am suspecting STP.
