Dear All,
I have a requirement from client, wherein they would want to have the "usernames" of end hosts that are connected on wifi be reflected in Monitor-> Clients dashboard.
The only way this is possible IMO is for the client that are associating via "local netuser account" binded to a wlan. Even then it would be listing only the username created as part of "local netuser account" and not the actual "end host name".
Is it possible to have the username reflected if we integrate LDAP with WLC? Please let me know if there is any other viable solution to achieve the task.

Best regards,
Adnan

Depends on the authentication used. I believe if this is PSK then the Username field will always be Unknown.

I have another scenario of Guest-Anchor controller, both are wlc 8500 and running on 7.6.100.0.
The ssid configured is for web authentication, 802.1x disabled, 802.11 authentication as open and external radius used for authenticating the users.
Here as well, I see the usernames as listed as "Unknown". Not sure what are the working scenarios wherein the "username" should be reflected on WLC page.
Also when I issue, "show client detail <mac-address>", the client profiling status would be shown as "Disabled" for Radius profiling and Local Profiling. What does this implies?

No, I won't.
Where is the option to enter a "username" if the authentication is PSK? There is none.

The username that under Monitor -> Clients tab is the end user/machine name not the username thr client used to access the WiFi. So, I asked you about your reply.
