Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to monitor client authentication failures with our 3 standalone 1142N APs. I know that I can see failures under the log viewer of each AP, but was hoping someone had a suggestion for a better way to monitor.
Thanks in advance.
Best,
David

David:
You can syslog server like David Santos suggested.
You can search for a free syslog server on google. There is one called Kiwi syslog server. search for it.
The other option is to use a SNMP trap receiver and configur SNMP on the AP to send SNMP traps.
Here is a link about configuring SNMP on the AP: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.2_15_JA/configuration/guide/s15snmp.html#wp1034739
I think the option of the syslog server is better for you

if that is pointed to the radius server in your scenario... You can have the auth logs in the radius server. if the radius server is pointed to syslog. you will get the same in syslog as well. hope this helps.

Thanks everyone, I have it dropping the logs to the syslog server in Engineers Toolbox 8 but maybe its time up upgrade to the newer version... but it does exactly what I need.
Best,
David
