Need Help Setting Up 1850 & 1830 Access Points

Hello,

I am completely new to Cisco and networking and I've been tasked with setting up a new WIFI system for my company, I am in a test environment currently and need to get it working before I start to deploy the access point around the building. To start, I have 2 AIR-AP1852I-B-K9 access points that I want to connect. I have gotten one of the Access Points easily set up as the Master through the Mobility Express GUI online but am struggling with getting my second AIR-AP1852I-B-K9 to connect to the first one. Eventually I have like 6 more 1832 Access Points I also need to connect to this master AP. I checked and the two 1852's are running the same software image 8.5.131.0. Here is the error I'm getting in the CLI from the second AP trying to join the master.

Any and all help would be appreciated I've been looking around the internet for the past week and haven't had much luck finding a solution. Also, I'm not all that savvy yet with the CLI so implicit instructions of what to provide for help would be nice.

Thanks,

Ryan

You might be hitting a software bug, but I'm not entirely sure.
Release notes: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/mob_exp/85/release_notes/b_ME_RN_85.html#resolved-caveats

Your Master should have two IP addresses configured, are they both in the same IP range?
Do you have the correct country selected in the ME configuration?
Could you maybe post the complete boot process of the second AP?

My suggestion is to upgrade the master with the latest 8.5 release and then also upgrade one of the problematic ones and hope for the best.

Thank you for the response,

My supervisor is currently working with cisco support to get the licence so I can try doing a software update to fix this.

But in the mean time:

-What exactly do you mean by the master having two ip addresses? The address for the controller is
192.168.76.100

-I do have the correct country selected in the ME config

-And here is the complete boot process of the second ap:

Please check IP configuration, they don't seem to be in the same vlan/network.

What do I need to check/change in order to fix this?

Thanks for replying quickly

Either put both devices into the same vlan or configure a router for both ip ranges. I suggest putting both into the same vlan.
