i have purchased on AP from Amazon. But the software coverage status is "not entitled". The access point model number is "AIR- CAP3502I-A-K9". i need the autonomous (k9w7) and full lightweight IOS for the device. currently the device only has lightweight recovery image so that i cannot get into its configuration terminal. please help.

Unfortunately, without entitlement you won't be able to get the software here. If you bought it to learn, you can try to reach out to Cisco if they will enable a download, but I would not count on it.

Google the filename and see where it takes you.

Note the recovery image is a basic lightweight image so it doesn't have a "configuration terminal".
You need a controller to run the AP with a lightweight (CAPWAP) image.

Autonomous: ap3g1-k9w7-tar.153-3.JF15.tar
CAPWAP: ap3g1-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF15.tar
Do you have a controller (WLC)? Is so, then the AP should use the recovery image to join the controller then download the image from the controller automatically. If you have a controller then it should be running 8.5.182.7 as per the field notice below.

is there any k9w8 file suitable for 3500 other than rcvk9w8 (which is a recovery type)

oh..ok. Thank you very much. actually my situation is i am learning wifi wireless lan controller. i downloaded the controller image file from somewhere which is having evaluation licence and loaded in GNS3. for the lab i purchased the cheapest AP ( for AP, there is no virtual device ia not available) which unfortunately retired. i will test it. and i don't know the vWLC supports my AP. Thank you for the help.

Note that AireOS based WLC is approaching end of life.
If you want to learn WLC you should be looking at 9800 series WLC.
Note that 9800 series will not support your 3502 AP which is long past end of support. You would need 1700/2700/3700 AP (at a minimum) to use with 9800 WLC. Those are supported in 17.9 IOS-XE from 17.9.3 but will soon be end of support too so you will not be able to upgrade beyond 17.9.x. For that you'll need at least 1800/2800/3800 AP.

Your AP needs to run the same version of software as the WLC. It will automatically try to download from the WLC but if the WLC software is old the download will fail due to the field notice below. You either need to use the workaround (no NTP, change date) or upgrade to 8.5.182.7. Also see the other field notice about expired MIC certificates.
