New with WLC9800-L-C and C9115-AXE-WLC

I´m trying to setup a WLC-9800 with a C9115AXE-EWC-E

After doing the day 0 setup in the WLC-9800 I would expect that the AP will be provisioned once I connect it to the wireless management interface.
I can see the AP in the WEB UI of the WLC in the CDP negithbors tab, but once I AP provisioning tab under the wireless setup basic I can´t find the AP.

I have seen in the compatibility table that the WLC-9800 is compatible with the C9115AXE-X series, but I don't know if C9115AXE-EWC-E is in this category.

I´m looking for some guidance, I have tried several things found in the online doc but I can´t guess what's going on.

Thank you in advance

Since you can see AP in the WLC, I assume that you are advertising your WMI over DHCP option 43. If that's the case I suggest you check in the GUI, Monitoring>> Wireless>> AP Statistics

Also if the AP is registered and you want to assign tags manually you can go to Configuration>> Wireless Access>> Points in the GUI.

To troubleshoot AP join issues you can refer the below guide;

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/213949-wireless-debugging-and-log-collection-on.html

If still you cannot get the AP's to register to the WLC please check the 9800 best practices guide and make sure that the WMI is defined and uplink ports in WLC and upstream switchports are correctly configured.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/guide-c07-743627.html

Incase that you want to convert from EWC to CAPWAP, there are 3 methods to covert, below guide explains them all very well.

If more support required please attach the RA trace from the WLC.

Can you console in AP and paste the output of show version command.

I suspect 9115 is in EWC mode and you need to change it to CAPWAP by using this command:

Migrating from EWC to CAPWAP:

ap-type capwap

Ty, finally I miss some configuration in the Vlan, with your suggestion I was able to finish the configuration and now I´m able to provide the AP.
