PEAP = no 802.11n

I just deployed a new SSID using PEAP and machine authentication.  I was very suprised when all clients started connecting at 54 mb instead of giving me 802.11n data rates.  If they connected to the old SSID, n rates were fine.  Why would this authentication cause this?

ok!!

JUST PEAP != 802.11N

Make sure..

1>> WPA 2 is the authentication with AES as the Encryption with WMM enabled with all MCS rates enabled

OR

2>> Open Auth with No encryption with WMM enabled with All MCS rates enabled

Its

PEAP + WPA 2 + AES encryption + WMM + ALL MCS rates = 802.11 N

or

PEAP + Open Auth + no encryption + WMM + ALL MCS rates = 802.11 N
