Problem with client reauthentication on EAP-TLS WLAN

We have some HP ProBook 470 G1 notebooks that are unable to reauthenticae to a EAP-TLS WLAN after they come back from sleep/power safe mode of if they are trying to reconnect to the WLAN after they have been disconnected.

We are running two WISM with 7.0.240.0 code with almost 100 AIR-LAP1252AG-E-K9 access points and we have six WLANs configured for different user groups. One of the WLANs it using 802.1x authentication with EAP-TLS.

When we boot up our corporate Win7 HP notebooks (with Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 b/g/n) they authenticate imediately (see attached debugclient_success.txt) and we can see the authentication request on ACS.

The problem starts when we disconnect from the WLAN or if the client goes to sleep mode. It will not be able to reauthenticate to the WLAN until we reboot the machine.

The authentication process seems to be looping as we are seeing from the 'debug client' output on the WLC (see debugclient_nosuccess.txt). On the radius server we do not see a log entry for this attempt.

It seems the WLC is acting as a proxy and not sending the request to ACS. Is this normal behavior and can it be stopped for testing?

Any feedback is much appreciated.
